Upright meaning
A beginning you cannot fully see the end of. The Fool steps out anyway — untested, unguarded, and carrying almost nothing. Trust the impulse before you talk yourself out of it.
Reversed meaning
The same step, refused. Recklessness dressed up as courage, or a fear of change dressed up as prudence. Something is being avoided rather than decided.
In love
A relationship at its very start, or a chance to begin again without the old script.
In work
An unproven idea worth backing. Naivety is a cost here, not a flaw.
In yourself
You are allowed to be a beginner. That is the whole point of this card.
